She was the Star of the show in every way.
Diana Ross blew away the audience at the Hollywood Bowl on Saturday night as she celebrated her 40 year career in a special anniversary concert.
The 69-year-old singer made a dramatic entrance onto the stage wrapped up in waves of taffeta that sparkled with bedazzled silver stones.

The Motown star soon dropped the flamboyant fashion accessory to reveal an equally as fabulous sequined dress covered in bright flowers.
As she raised her arms in the air to greet her excited fans, the Ain't No Mountain High Enough singer revealed the billowing sleeves of her glittering ensemble.
With rosy blushed cheeks, bright pink lips and heavy-lidded dark eyes, Diana looked every inch the diva that she has been known to be for the past four decades.

At one point, the multi-talented musician belted out a show-stopping performance of I'm Coming Out, with her black-suited back-up band playing trombones behind her.
Ross began her historical career in 1959 as a founding member of Motown band The Supremes, who had huge hits such as Where Did Our Love Go.
After suffering from anorexia and getting so thin that she even collapsed on stage during one show, Ross left the band and embarked on a solo career in 1970.

Family affair: Diana's daughter, Tracee Ellis Ross, hosted the show before her famous mother took the stage
It was while performing on her own that Diana really set the music world on fire, with her 1981 album Why Do Fools Fall In Love selling over a million copies and launching the hit single Mirror Mirror.
In 2010, she hit the road again for the first time in three years for the More Today Than Yesterday: The Greatest Hits Tour, which she dedicated to her good friend, Michael Jackson. Despite her decades of success, Diana received her first ever Gr...
On Saturday, she was joined on stage by her actress daughter, Tracee Ellis Ross, 40, who hosted the sell-out show.
While her daughter was by her side at the Hollywood Bowl, it is Diana's son, Evan Ross, who has been making headlines recently since he began dating Ashlee Simpson last month.
Evan, 24, is the son of Ross' second husband, Norwegian billionaire shipping magnate, Arne Naess Jr., and he will soon be seen in the much anticipated Crazy Sexy Cool: The TLC Story.
The aspiring actor will appear in the biopic as music producer Dallas Austin, who won two Grammys for co-producing the popular girl group's CrazySexyCool and FanMail albums and had a son with lead singer Rozonda 'Chilli' Thomas in 1997.

Goodbye Maxine Powell: Queen of Motown Class~
Maxine Powell, the finishing-school instructor who infused Motown’s young stars with elegance and poise, died Monday morning at Providence Hospital in Southfield Michigan. She was 98.
Powell was “peacefully surrounded by Motown family and close friends,” according to a Motown Museum spokeswoman.
Maxine Powell (May 30, 1915 – October 14, 2013) was an American etiquette instructor and talent agent. She taught grooming, poise, and social graces to many recording artists at Motown in the 1960s. It was her grooming that added a touch of class to the Motown experience~
